MEET EMILY

I'm the lead photographer for Emily Bates Photography. I live in Tallahassee, Florida with my sweet hubs Jeff, our two small children, our kitty Beckham, and our pup Tilly. We got married in 2016 and have lived in 5 states in those short years. I must say though, we love Tallahassee and the people who call it home. 

I fell in love with photography in 2012 when I got my first ever camera, but my passion for serving my clients began in 2016 when I decided I wanted to pursue photography as more than just a hobby. Let me tell you, there is NOTHING like getting to know my clients and being able to capture and tell your stories. It is an honor that I feel so blessed to have. 

Not much in life can outlive us, but photography does. It is so much more than just a print or digital file - it is a captured moment, a feeling, a sweet memory to reminisce on. My style is light, full of joy, and timeless so that you can cherish your photos for generations to come.
